**Making Temporary Server**

hey guys im making my own server it probably will be dedicated but im not sure. i did it with hamachi and well u need that if u want to play on it. but first of all i need admins, and second i need players. the map is total scratch and untouched, what ill let the players do is grab some tnt and clear some land for whatever you need to clear land for. im admitting im a complete noob about these things so i need advice and help. if u wanna be a player, email me with the subject as "player app" or something. if u wanna b op email me with "op app" or something of that nature. i want you all to remember that im not trying to replace the original server or anything its just that im unbearably bored and bored and shit.(yes i know i wrote bored twice).
so for further info email me. also ill post any questions i have and hopefully one of u guys will answer because as i said im a noob in these things, and to be honest this is my first server of anything .

Another thing that is nice to have, dedicate some of your time to make a nice welcome center in the spawn, instead of having a spawn on the side of a mountain, flatten the area out and make a building with message boards and such, and if you have the ability, cuboid it. Things like that really make a difference on a server imo.

ok, so i did some work and i got the server to not be dependant on hamachi so now you dont need hamachi.

i also need suggestions on what sorts of server mods should i use for the server... considering i have no idea what to do now i was wondering what hey0 was and if i should use it or not.

As for server mods, definitely an anti-grief mod, another useful one to have is worldedit, i'm not sure if bukkit supports it, you'd have to look into it. Depending on how long you plan to have the server for and how realistic of an rp you want it to be, a mod that allows tags to be added can come in handy, as well as a mod that allows signs to be turned into warps, again I don't know the name but a simple google search would give an answer.

Those are the ones that will get your server started, any others after that are purely for entertainment purposes and are at your discretion, don't be afraid to throw one up there and see what people think, the worst that happens is they hate it and you just remove it, simple as that.

Hey0 was the previous server software everyone used, it has been replaced by bukkit and isn't being updated any further. So don't use it unless you want outdated server software.

server isnt up yet plus i need to get the server mods

Well you could live through the updates or you could wait until they settle down and start your server then.

Since I don't usually write disruptive messages, I can't be a spam poster.

Also its not my fault I like to talk to the new applicants on their app, just sometimes other members join in, its not like the applications are being used like they should be right now.

Rofl. By the way, WorldEdit is a bukkit plugin. As is LWC, it's a great chest protection mod
