Desert Rulebook
Time to write down all the rules for the Desert, should have done that quite a while ago...
§1 Leadership positions
More rules to follow.
§1 Leadership positions
- Spoiler:
- 1. The leadership of the Desert is based upon the elected Leader.
2. The leader is free to name a Deputy Leader taking care of the Desert when the leader is away.
3. The leader assigns the job of the Town Administrator taking care of town order (see Administration Structure).
- Spoiler:
- 1. When warping to the Desert, you will find yourself in a ship in the docks at the Slums.
2. As soon as you have your Desert name tag, ask for a plot in the Commons Area and start building on this plot. Make sure your house does not violate the Building rules! After doing that, ask for something to do so you can get familiar with the other inhabitants and prove yourself a worthy member.
3. If the leadership thinks you're a nice player to have in the Desert (I.e. by being nice to other players and helping them), you can get promoted and are allowed to move to the Upper Area.
- Spoiler:
- 1. If you misbehave or violate the rules, you can get reversed. This will be from the Upper Area to the Commons Area as well as from the Commons Area into the Slums.
- Spoiler:
- 1. In the Slums, you are not allowed to build at all unless you have either a permission or been tasked by the responsible administrator. You may place chests and ChestCapsules to store your goods. For crafting and smelting, use the public workshop at the mine entrance.
2. In the Commons Area, you will be assigned a 6x8 plot. You are allowed to build a house there but however, its style must align to the common Desert style and is not allowed to have neither basement nor second floor.
3. In the Upper Area, you may have a house with a second floor as well as a basement.
4. All houses must have nameplates as well as LLI (Last Logged In) signs to determine your activity. Exceptions are made for Noble Area and administrator's and leader's houses.
5. Houses violating these rules can be reduced to allowed size (by cutting walls, height etc.).
6. Repeated infraction or infraction combined with other reversion causes will lead to a destruction of your house and a reversion. The executing enforcer will save the materials and give them to you when requested.
- Spoiler:
- 1. The Town Administrator will be assigning jobs in the administration and enforcement system. He is recruited by the Faction Leader and recruits Administrators and Enforcers.
2. The Town Plot Administrator will be assigning plots in the town and keep track of the plots.
3. The Town Order Administrator checks back with the Town plot Enforcers and Commons Area (CA) Enforcers to find any buildings higher than allowed. He is also the person in charge to remove or order removal of abandoned houses (1 week inactivity).
- Spoiler:
- 1. Town Plot Enforcers stay behind the walls and check LLI signs as well as the height of buildings and report back to the Town Order Administrator. They are the executive power for removal and trimming of houses.
2. CA Enforcers move through the Newbie Areas and check the building heights. They are the executive power for trimming them back to the limitation.
3. A person may be Town Plot Enforcer and CA Enforcer at the same time.
4. Enforcers are recruited by the Town Administrator.
- Spoiler:
Leader Witter Deputy Leader CaptainLove Town Administrator gobbo1008 Town Plot Administrator JohnTB Town Order Administrator ThraceVega Mine Administrator PezzHippo Community Supplier xephyroth Enforcers To be listed.
More rules to follow.

Re: Desert Rulebook
I thought of you while writing down the current occupations. Coincidence or do I just know you that good?
Anyways, since I have the power to employ you and Witter already approved this on Skype earlier today, I hereby employ you as Town Order Administrator.
Whether you employ someone to do the "dirty" work or you do it yourself (more probable ) is up to you. Just make sure to check back with Witter, John and me as often as you can, so no one's house gets torn down by "accident".

Re: Desert Rulebook
Have to add something in here, and this is rather official and non-negotiable.
For the immediate future, hopefully not too long, *All* Deserts are prohibited from entering Dwarven territory without strict permission from the Dwarven leadership. As you may know, relations have not been too peachy as of late, so I'd like everyone to do their best to behave, and show superior politeness and selflessness when interacting with the Dwarves. To help ease relations, we still welcome Dwarven visitors, however, they have been asked to keep clear of industrial areas to help lower the global feeling of paranoia. Visitors are to be treated kindly, and if problems occur, please make a Moderator aware, preferably a Desert or Dwarven moderator, so that the issue can be resolved peacefully, avoiding another snowballing effect.
Trolling, spying and being generally annoying will not be tolerated, from *any* faction, I should not have to point this out, but it appears no one is blameless in the current climate, and we must take up the responsibility of improving ourselves, if we ever expect the other nations to improve also. Humility is a virtue, lets start being virtuous C:

Re: Desert Rulebook
Admirable initiative. I hope there will be plenty of room to still show other factions including deserts around. I know not exactly what is wrong and it may very well not be my business but this move has to net some goodwill.

Would you do it?xephyroth wrote:Can there be a spot for Community Manager/Supplier? Like they would maintain the farms and supplies materials in the warehouse? I would like to that
Yeah I thought it would come in handy. The buildings are there and people can still be a pain in the *ss when in the lower district, so why not.SKiDDi wrote:i see the slums i worked so hard on are being put to use

Re: Desert Rulebook
Whoops, didn't see that
Well, then you are hereby promoted to Community Supplier, responsible of keeping our farms (Tree, Wheat and Cacti) in a perfect shape and supplying their produce to deserts who need them. If no one needs these items at the moment you harvest them, put them in the storage for every desert to access. You are free to take whatever you need, as everyone else is.
You may put up signs at the farms that state you're responsible for them and products can be found in the storage.

ZyCiic could make bread, hunt pigs, fry bacon and make mushroom stew if he's got nothing to do
Re: Desert Rulebook
Yeah that would be cool
