So I'm very well aware of how easy personal information is (mis)used on-line. I run software like PeerBlock, plugins like GoogleSharing, I pester webmasters to remove any information about me and I never fill in my personal details on on-line forums.
The reasoning for the forums is simple: you don't know who else gets on the forums, you don't know what the company hosting the forums will do with the data and you don't know if you can ever remove that data again.
On this forum however I did fill in some details, only to find out the profile pages are public for the world to see without logging in AND are indexed by Google. This is a grave security breach so I'd just thought I'd post this for those who actually care.

I guess it's more of a bigger deal for me as Decibert is a nickname that can easily be used to identify me. People and corporations are more than free to know I used to spend my time here, but not when I was born.

Hah, yeah, Google is not the most trusted thing out there in the way of keeping info private... even Facebook sucks at trying not to make the information public. anywho, i'm kind of still here too >_>

Well... the whole world wide wed suck at keeping things private, some try to keep it private and some just give all your information away for $50.

Internet should actually be re-invented so it automaticly removes stuff you removed even tough the site owner doesn't want that. (exeption for police and government) Only down-side would be, that the site owners could just back-up all the info on their computers.

I'm a normal person in nord disguise in dwarf diguise.
Two diguises there, man...
Also, my two disguises now have a ghillie suit to be three double disguised.
almost can't see myself now anymore.
