Mining Permits

Post by Gontuzic on Tue Dec 14, 2010 12:58 am

In order to be granted a permit to build a private mine under a house, one must first sign the agreement bellow.

Spoiler:
For the great privilege of having my own personal mine, I am willing, and agree to the following terms:
-
-
-
-
I. My private mine will start AT LEAST ten blocks under my home, and will be accessible by only means of ladder.
This is to ensure that no other lots are intruded upon by winding staircases or other means of decent into a mine.
-
-
-
II. The entrance to my private mine, from my home, will be accessible only by an Iron door that must be able to lock and shut behind me when I enter my mine. This is to ensure that Dwarves who have mines do not leave any possible way for players who have ill desires to enter the district unattended.
-
-
-
III. I will not use my mine as an area for storage. You have a home, store your stuff there. If you do not have a home you shouldn't have a private mine. Furthermore, If the mine is used for storage, your mine will not be shut down. But do not report any stolen items from mine storage. Any reports will be shooed away followed with a big fat "HA."

-
-
-
IV. I will not use any area of my mine as an extension of my house.
We have housing plots and limitations on size for a reason. Attempting to use your mine as a home, will result in the loss of your permit and the immediate sealing of your mine. Your mine may be reopened after the approval of a new application for a permit five days after the offense.

-
-
-
V. I will label the door leading from my mine to my house with my name.
This is to prevent any confusion as to whose house a player is approaching if mines interconnect.

-
-
-
VI. I acknowledge that there are no REAL private mines in Minecraft and if I encounter someone within my mine that I will not:
  • Try to kill or attack any other persons.
  • Whine incessantly to the leader of the faction, or any other member of the dwarven faction. (You may whine to the Desert nation's leader, its more fun that way.)
  • try to sabotage any other dwarf's private and/or the public mineshaft.

-
-
-
VII. I will make sure my mine entrance to my house IS secure to the point in which no one can enter my house from the mine; unless I am capable of building a door that will prevent unwelcome guests to enter without proper knowledge of how to open the door.
-
-
-
VIII. If the rules change I will obey.
-
-
-
I have read the following rules. I agree to the following rules. As proof of agreement to the following rules; a Dwarven member, wishing to own a private mine, must reply to this message on this thread making sure to replace [name] with their own name Using the following message as their template:
"I [name] Agree to follow these rules and I acknowledge any kind of foul play in using "loopholes" or any kind of dishonorable conduct regarding the matter of private mines may result in the revocation of my permit and in the modification of these rules which I agree to continue to follow."

Applying does not ensure a private mine. After an application is submitted, Please message either the Faction leader of the Dwarves, or the head of the district in question.

This one is for my houses, and since I can't really message myself i'll have to message you.
